Our Services

The Preventive Health, Safety, Nutrition, and Lead Poisoning Prevention Practices training is an eight-hour on-line course that meets the California Emergency Medical Authority (EMSA) state licensing requirements for child care. This comprehensive and practical training prepares administrators and employees of all child care centers and family child homes to keep the children in their care safe and healthy from injury and illness.

 

Participants will learn about infectious diseases, immunizations, childhood injury prevention, caring for children with special needs, child abuse identification and reporting, and child care nutrition.

Please choose your training date carefully, as refunds are not available after purchase.

 

Students will receive a text and email reminders of the class and the Zoom link three days prior to the training.

Online - Virtual

To access the virtual Zoom session, please use the link provided in your registration confirmation email. 

Please remember that you must be on time for class. To ensure this, please sign in 10 minutes prior to the scheduled training start time.  Computer and technology support are not available.  

 

Certificates

You will receive a text with you certificate and a paper certificate in the mail 7-10 days after the course. It is your responsibility to make copies of the certificate for your records.  Replacement copies are not available through Health Connection, LLC.

Guidelines for Attendance

Sign in at 8:50 AM.

The class starts promptly and participants will not be allowed to join the training after 9:00 AM.

 

To access the virtual Zoom session, please use the link provided in your registration confirmation email. 

As this is an interactive online class, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Use your registered name as your screen name.

  • Maintain a forward-facing and viewable presence on-screen. Refrain from engaging in other activities such as driving, riding as a passenger, cleaning, lying down, or sleeping during the session to maintain focus and engagement.

  • Exceptions are permitted during designated activities such as breastfeeding, breaks, lunch, or at the instructor's discretion.

  • Use the chat feature to ask questions.  There will be designated times for questions and comments every hour.

  • Please return from breaks on-time. Breaks last 10 minutes, and lunch is 30 minutes.

  • The instructor may remove participants from the virtual classroom for non-participation, visibility issues, or distractions. In such cases, the participant must reschedule and re-register for the training, at an additional cost to the participant.

It is recommended to use a desktop or laptop computer or tablet for this course, for ease of viewing the screen content.

Please adhere to these guidelines, as non-compliance could jeopardize the continuation of this program in its current format.

Please remember that this is a professional classroom environment, and other participants may be able to see you, so appropriate attire is expected.
